Vision, Mission, and Goals
Youth need more than a program, they need family.
We want everyone who visits the farm to feel like it is indeed ‘My Family’s Farm.’
Our hope is the young adults, or as we call them 'Bigs', we serve grow to see it as their family’s farm not just another organization or institution but a place they can call home.
Our vision is to create a community at the farm that embraces youth, transitioning from foster care to independence, as family.
.
Our mission is to provide a home on the farm where youth have space and time to cultivate character and forge family connections that empower generational growth.
Our 3 Main Goals

1
Cultivating Character
Here’s how we Cultivate Character: - Responsibility: Youth learn to complete tasks and own their work. - Teamwork: Working together builds communication and support. - Resilience: Farm tasks teach problem-solving and perseverance. - Life Skills: Classes and tiny home living teach budgeting, cooking, and independence. - Growth Mindset: Challenges become chances to grow.
2
Forging Family
Here's how we Forge Family: - Stronger Relationships: Conflicts create deeper connections and trust. - Conflict Resolution: Disagreements build essential communication skills. - Emotional Intelligence: Community life fosters self-awareness and empathy. - Empathy and Engagement: Interactions deepen understanding and connection. - Stability and Commitment: Supportive bonds teach loyalty and the essence of family.
3
Empowering Generations
How we Empower Generations: - Breaking Cycles: We provide stability and life skills to help youth overcome challenges. - Building Healthy Families: We teach young people about good communication and respect in families. - Career Development: We offer mentorship to help young adults pursue education and careers. - Faith and Community: We build Faith in Jesus Christ, reminding youth they belong to a larger family. - Community Support: We encourage the community to support local teens and reduce stigma.

Future Family Farms
We believe it is important to keep our tiny homes 'smaller' communities of 20 tiny homes for more intentional family relationships to be fostered and separate them by gender. But this means there will be an immediate need for other farms.

We want to establish a Future Family Steward House on the property to see the multiplication of these future farms. This would allow future family stewards and their families to come live on our farm and be immersed in the day-to-day operations to be equipped to successfully plant new My Family's Farms around the city, nation, and world.
